Privacy
Short version: I collect only what you give me, I use it to reply to you or to send you notes you asked for, and I do not sell or share it.
What I collect
- Your email, if you subscribe to My Lab Notes. I also keep the wording you agreed to and the date.
- Your first and last name and email, if you get a free download from a post, plus which post and which download. This tells me who finds the downloads useful. It does not add you to My Lab Notes. You only get new notes by email if you tick that box, and I keep the wording you agreed to.
- Your name, email and message, if you reply to a post or use a contact form, and the post you were reading.
- A scrambled (hashed) version of your network address, used only to stop spam. I cannot turn it back into your address.
What I do not collect
This site sets no advertising or tracking cookies. If that ever changes, I will ask first. After a download, your browser remembers (in its own local storage, never sent to me) that you already signed up, so the next post shows the files directly. Clearing your browser data removes it.
Where it is stored
Submissions are stored with Supabase, in Canada. Spam checks use Cloudflare Turnstile, and alert emails to me pass through an email service. Posts and pages are hosted on Netlify.
How long I keep it
Messages and replies are kept for up to 24 months, then deleted. Download requests are kept until you ask me to remove them. Subscriber addresses are kept until you unsubscribe.
Leaving and removal
Every email has a one-click unsubscribe. To have anything else removed, write to hello@equintero.com and I will delete it.
